Makenna Hogerheide

In March of 2015, I participated in the Miss Kalkaska Pageant. I competed with the platform of Autism Awareness for my brother Kyle. I had my family and friends all at the pageant supporting me, and it was one of the best experiences. After being crowned Miss Kalkaska, I spent some of my summer representing Kalkaska at 7 parades. I was in both of my hometown's parades for our trout festival at the end of April. The first two weekends of June were the Bass Fesitval in Mancelona, and The Lilac Festival in Mackinac Island. The next month, I participated in the 4th of July Festival in Fife Lake, followed by the Cherry Festival in Traverse City. August consisted of the Elk Rapids Harbor Days parade, and the Bellaire Rubber Ducky Festival. I had a fantastic summer with the best court I could ask for.
